A great internet philosopher once said people take photos of what they hope never to lose. It’s true. (We'll return to this soon)

Since graduating from Wayne State University in 2010, I’ve been fortunate enough to have a career that has taken me anywhere and everywhere, from building training content on the lower lobe of a cargo aircraft at Boeing Field to capturing the stories of individuals striving to better their lives in a humble park in Detroit, I’ve seen it all. Yet, this is where we return to that quote: most photos I take outside of work are of my family, parties, events, and, more than anything, my dogs.

Marco and Maggie, to me, are the living embodiment of love. Their selflessness and kindness have illuminated my path while navigating the unknown, and their joy for life brings me joy in mine. I wouldn’t be half the person I am today without these two lovable maniacs. I adore them, and I know you love yours just as fiercely.

I’m lucky to have fallen into a profession that allows me to capture and preserve those moments — quirks and all — so that you can remember the joy, laughter, sadness, and love of it all. This is precisely what I hope to share with you.
